Ingredients:
- ½ kg of flour
- ½ cup of sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 butter spoons
- 25 grams of fresh yeast
- ¼ liter of milk
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1 pinch of salt
How do you prepare?
- Crumble the yeast in a little hot water and pour into a container where you will already have the sifted flour.
- Add the egg and stir well.
- Pour in the warm milk and continue mixing.
- Add the salt, honey and sugar.
- Lastly, bring the butter to room temperature.
- Knead with your hands for about 20 minutes, until it is smooth and no longer sticks to your fingers.
- Form a ball and put in a greased and floured container. Cover with a cloth and allow 2 hours for the dough to rise and double in size.
- Squish with your fingers to remove the air and knead some more.
- Cut into 16 pieces of similar size (each will be a loaf).
- Roll out each piece of dough and form a 1 cm thick rectangle, make 3 longitudinal cuts on one side.
- Turn the oven to 180 ° C and grease a mold with a little oil (you can also use greaseproof paper).
- Arrange the bread on the tray (about 3 cm apart), brush it with a little milk and let it rise again for 30 minutes.
- Bake about 15 minutes or until golden brown, let it rest before consuming, although no one will be able to resist the temptation and everyone will run to the kitchen to give the loaves a pinch (and they will burn, but it does not matter).

Ingredients
For the milk bread:
- 500 grams of flour
- 50 grams of sugar
- 50 grams of butter
- 25 grams of fresh yeast
- 10 grams of powdered milk
- 3 tablespoons of honey
- 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
For the pastry cream:
- 500 cc of milk
- 175 grams of sugar
- 50 grams of starch
- 5 eggs
- 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar
Steps to follow:
- Form a crown with the flour and powdered milk. In the center hole, place the sugar, room temperature butter, yeast, honey and vanilla essence.
- Knead with your hands and if necessary add a little water until you achieve a soft, elastic ball that does not stick to your fingers.
- Cover with a cloth and let it rise for about 20 minutes in a warm place.
- Make the buns of about 40 grams approximately (they do not have to be as exact but more or less the same size), let them rest for another 5 minutes.
- Grease a baking tray and place the loaves with a separation between them. Cover so that they rise even more (20 minutes).
- Prepare the pastry cream: in a saucepan, boil the milk with 1/3 of the sugar. Mix the starch separately with the remaining sugar, beat 4 of the eggs and add them, also the vanilla essence. Reservation. When the milk starts to boil, pour in the previous preparation while stirring. Cook 2 minutes to thicken and reserve. When it is at room temperature, put it in the fridge.
- Paint the buns with 1 egg and decorate with the pastry cream as if it were a crown. Paint the sides with more egg and sprinkle with the icing sugar.
- Cook in the preheated oven at 200 ° C for 10 minutes. Remove and cool slightly before serving.
