Bad Days Come Alone, Good Days Have To Go Out And Look For Them
“This morning I woke up excited with all the things I have to do before the clock rang.
I have responsibilities to fulfill today. Im important. My job is to choose what kind of day I’m going to have.
Today I can complain because the day is rainy or I can give thanks because the plants are being watered.
Today I can feel sad because I don’t have more money or I can be happy because my finances push me to plan my purchases wisely.
Today I can complain about my health or I can rejoice that I am alive.
Today I can regret everything that my parents did not give me while I was growing up or I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.
Today I can cry because roses have thorns or I can celebrate that thorns have roses.
Today I can feel sorry for myself for not having many friends or I can get excited and embark on the adventure of discovering new relationships.
Today I can complain because I have to go to work or I can scream with joy because I have a job.
Today I can complain because I have to go to school or I can open my mind energetically and fill it with new and rich knowledge.
Today I can murmur bitterly because I have to do housework or I can feel honored because I have a roof over my mind and body.
Today the day appears before me waiting for me to shape it and here I am, I am the sculptor.
What happens today depends on me, I must choose what kind of day I am going to have.
Have a great day… Unless you have other plans ”.
Text attributed to the Uruguayan writer Mario Benedetti
We have to begin to assume the responsibility that corresponds to us: One good day, believe it or not believe it. It is true that, sometimes, we do not need to accompany the bad moments, since they appear by themselves without hardly giving us time to react.
However, we have to generate a new habit, something like a new philosophy of life in which every day we remind ourselves that “getting up on the wrong foot” can be avoided.
How to have a nice day
The truth is that, like everything in life, having a good day requires a certain method and strategy. That is, the important thing is to take the appropriate measures to ensure that we are doing everything possible to create our well-being.
It is for this reason that, below, we want to give you some ideas so that you can start putting this good habit into practice:
1. Be present
It is very important to bring our mind back to reality and leave that place or that past in which it has been trapped. We cannot change what happened, and obsessing over it does not help us in the present moment.
There is a Chinese proverb that reflects this question wisely and goes as follows: “If the problem has a solution, why do you worry? And if it doesn’t, why do you keep worrying? “
Worry does not help us at all, so instead, if something is worrying, we must act as soon as possible and live in the present moment.
2. Allow ourselves to be mediocre
That is, we have to work and not force ourselves to reach the top of our summit always. It is good to have a tight schedule but… Is it really necessary to force ourselves to strictly comply with a list of daily chores? Do less and you will be less stressed. We cannot reach everything.
3. Do fewer things, but make them more important
By this we mean that what we do needs to have a great long-term personal or professional impact on our lives. Great achievements are made up of small successes. Therefore, going to bed with the feeling that the job is well done will fill every moment of our day with satisfaction.
4. Think about what our ideal life would be like
We are not talking about having a large mansion or a luxury car, but about imagining how we would make our life perfect with what we already have. Pick the 4 or 5 most important things in your life and build your life around them.
Then, plan what will be the first steps that will lead you towards your ideal. Schedule your advancement on a weekly basis and you will feel tremendously good to see that you are fighting for what you really want.
5. Put order in your life
Order something, even if it’s in a drawer you never touch. Organizing one area of your life can have a wonderful effect on your mood and your happiness.
Ordering gives momentum to our day, as these are moments that we take to clear ourselves and throw out the unnecessary. Emptying a table top can be a great way to start.
6. Go for a walk
Movement and the fresh air outside will have a great effect on your day. Also, whenever possible, we have to take a few minutes to enjoy nature and think about how lucky we are to be alive.
7. We have to choose
Select just one project you want to focus on and put all the meat on the grill. Sometimes we fill our minds with ideas and goals to meet that, in the end, we have to abandon. As is well known, he who encompasses a lot does not squeeze much.
8. Listen to good music
Get music that makes you feel, that activates you and that brings emotions to your day. Doing this will free up your body and help you achieve better health, both physically and emotionally.
9. Watch a sunrise or sunset
At times, we may find it sad to watch the sunset in solitude; however, this helps us connect with our deepest selves. Watching the sunrise is filling with life and inspiration for the rest of the day.
10. Spending time with a loved one
Usually, the routine and the daily rush do not let us see that life is a one way road. Attend to your needs and cultivate your bonds, it really is what we always need to move forward.
