Walnut Bars

One solution is walnut bars, but the ones sold in supermarkets are very expensive for the amount they bring. That is why here we propose an option: make them yourself.

The recipe that we bring today is not difficult to prepare and the ingredients can be found in any supermarket. In addition, you can vary the ingredients of these recipes, according to the nuts that you like the most and you can also put dried fruits such as blueberries, dried apricots or raisins.

Walnut bars

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of almonds
  • 1 cup of cashew
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • ½ cup of grated coconut
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 9 tablespoons of honey

  • Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  • With the help of a mixer, chop the almonds, walnuts, and cashews until they are small pieces.
  • Mix the almonds, cashews and walnuts with the coconut, cinnamon, salt and vanilla until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
  • Add the honey and mix well until it is a compact mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into a baking dish previously greased with butter.
  • Cook for 20 minutes until the dough is golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool before unmolding.
  • Cut into bars of the size you want.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 50 g walnuts
  • 50 g of almonds
  • 1 cup granola
  • 50 g raisins
  • 4 tablespoons of honey
  • 6 tablespoons oil
  • 1 egg white

  • Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  • With the help of a blender or a food processor, blend the walnuts and almonds until they are into small pieces.
  • In a bowl, mix the nuts with the oats, granola and raisins.
  • Add the honey and the lightly beaten egg white to moisten the ingredients and make them compact.
  • Grease a baking dish with olive oil.
  • Form bars with the help of a spoon and place them on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for approximately 10 minutes or until the bars are golden brown.
  • Let cool before serving.
